The Salar de Uyuni with 12.000 square kilometres is considered as one of the biggest salt lakes of the world. Surrounded by mountains and the sky like unique border, The Salar allows to observe images in suspension for the solar radiation, optic illusions and other amazing phenomenons. It's conformed approximately by 11 layers, the first layer has a thickness of 10 meters and the experts consider that the lake has around 64 thousand million tons of salt.

ITINERARIES

OPTION 1
SALAR EXPRESS. 2 days/1 night

Day 1
Departure La Paz – Oruro in shared bus. In the afternoon, Oruro – Uyuni by train, arrive to Uyuni around 22:30 and transfer to the hotel

Day 2
Departure to the town of Colchani to visit and observe the process of production of salt, then, we departure toward the Isla Pescado for lunch. Walking around the island and return to Uyuni. After dinner, return to Oruro city by train and then Oruro – La Paz in shared bus. (return to the top)

OPTION 2
EDUARDO AVAROA NATIONAL PARK . 6 Days / 5 Nights

Day 1
Departure La Paz - Uyuni. Lunch during the trip. Arrive to Uyuni around 18h00 and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2
Departure to the town of Colchani for visit and observe the process of production of salt, then, we departure toward the Isla Pescado for lunch. Walking around the island and we continue the travel to the town of Tahua, we’ll sleep at the Salt Hotel.

Day 3
We departure early toward Desierto Siloli; lunch during the trip. Visit the mommis of San Juan del Rosario, the salar Chinguana and the lagoons Ramadita, Cañapa and Hedionda. We'll sleep at the Desert Hotel at 4.600 m.s.n.m

Day 4
Departure toward the Laguna Colorada and Verde in Avaroa National Park, we’ll observe the Vizcachero, the Arbol de Piedra, the geysers Sol de Mañana and water springs of Polques. Lunch during the trip and we’ll continue to Villamar for sleep.

Is possible to connect from Laguna Colorada to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile or vice versa.

Day 5
Departure to Uyuni to continue the road to Oruro.

Day 6
Departure to La Paz. END SERVICES (return to the top)

OPTION 3
EDUARDO AVAROA NATIONAL PARK FROM ARGENTINA. 5 Days / 4 Nights

Day 1
Arrive to Villazon around 13:00, departure by train to Uyuni at 15:30, arrive to Uyuni and accommodation in the hotel.

Day 3
We departure early toward the Laguna Colorada and Verde in Avaroa National Park; lunch during the trip. Visit the mommis of San Juan del Rosario, the salar Chinguana and the lagoons Ramadita, Cañapa and Hedionda, Árbol de Piedra, géiseres Sol de Mañana and water springs of Polques. We'll sleep at the Laguna Verde.

Day 4
Departure toward Uyuni, lunch and free time to rest. We’ll visit the city of stone, San Cristóbal, Kulpina K and the cemetery of trains. Free afternoo. Transfer to the train station and departure to Villazon at 02:50 +1.

It’s possible to continue the travel toward La Paz taking a bus or train at night (23:50).(return to the top)
