The Sajama volcano is the highest summit in Bolivia with 6.542 m.a.s.l. It’s Located inside the Sajama National Park with an extension of more than 200.000 hectares. The highlight of this area: the queñua forests that above the 5.200 m.a.s.l, constituting the highest woody formation in the world and the important reservation of vicuñas, llamas and alpacas.

We arrive to the Park from La Paz city taking the international route that goes toward Chile.

OPTION 1.
Full Day

Day 1
Departure toward the Sajama National Park, 188 miles from La Paz; where is the highest snowed summit of Bolivia with an altitude of 6 542 m.a.s.l. We visit the church of Curahura de Carangas, considered as “The Sistine Chapel” from the Bolivian plateau. Lunch and accommodation at the house of a villager. During the afternoon, visit the hot springs and geysers. Return to La Paz city. (return to the top)

OPTION 2
2 Days /1 night

Day 1

Day 2
Breakfast and journey to the Laguna Huayña Cota. Visits to the town of Tomarapi, located at the foot of Sajama. Lunch and visits to the Geysers and the Ciudad de Piedra. Return to La Paz. (return to the top)
